Join Cape Fear Museum and local experts for a thought-provoking six week documentary film and discussion series that explores diverse immigrant experiences in American history.

FREE event takes place at NHC Main Library (201 Chestnut St), 3rd Floor. No registration requried.

  • FEBRUARY 10, 2:30 PM: WELCOME TO SHELBYVILLE Explores tensions surrounding American’s acceptance of immigrants.
  • FEBRUARY 17, 2:30 PM: THE NEW AMERICANS Looks at how immigrants react and adjust to living in a new culture.
  • FEBRUARY 24, 2:30 PM: DESTINATION AMERICA Economic impact and immigrant labor’s essential part in building America.
