MUSIC & MOVEMENT Storytimes @ Main Library (downtown) In-Person

Join us for 30 minutes of stories, songs, and dancing for children ages 5 and younger and their caregivers. Music is joyful, helps children develop listening skills, teaches vocabulary, and promotes phonological awareness skills. Movement can help improve gross and fine motor skills and allows children to practice how to calm down and share space with others.

Library staff incorporate the five essential early literacy practices: SINGING, TALKING, READING, WRITING, and PLAYING to develop and nurture early literacy skills needed before children learn to read.

No registration required, but please note, families arriving after room capacity has been reached will be directed to the interactive play space and recommended books.
