Explore Careers on the Water: Maritime Employment In-Person

Ever wonder what it’s like to build a career on the water? This program introduces teens to the wide world of maritime jobs through a mix of real sea stories and practical career advice. Students will learn about opportunities in shipping, offshore wind, research vessels, and port operations, and see how subjects like science, math, and technology connect to high demand jobs. The presentation also explains the licenses and training needed, making it easy to understand how to get started. Teens will leave with resources, next steps, and a clearer picture of how Wilmington’s maritime history ties into their own future possibilities.
